In the not so distant past, there was a monastery located in a remote section of the Pyrenees in France that was sanctuary to a reclusive clan of monks. In a time when the world was experiencing the power of the OPEC Nations, a weakening U.S. economy, a rise in terrorism worldwide, and the prospect of a crippling oil embargo, this tiny monastery awakened one day to find a crying child, an abandoned baby left at their front gate. Not much is known about the monks. Their monastery no longer exists, the brothers perhaps scattered throughout the world to other monasteries of their order. But the child, who was raised and educated by the monks in the solitude of the monastery, is today known simply as Lucien, a newly discovered composer and recording artist for tribe MuZik. Lucien’s music is ethereal and spiritual, reflective of his time with the monks, for they imparted to him the sanctity of earth, nature, flesh and spirit; they imbued upon him a love of music, art and all people. Lucien, the man, is an enigma. He is reclusive and unassuming, yet his passions are bold and adventurous, as is evidenced in his quest to leave his homeland of France to travel the world and avail himself to the expanse of art and music that had only been discussed in his lessons within the monastic confines. Lucien’s travels, adventures and explorations have come to fruition in his debut CD, "Man to Steam". tribe MuZik is proud to have the opportunity to present Lucien and his music to the world. |
